Trunks

Two versions of Trunks share a family and potential, but their different worlds produce sharply different temperaments.

The warning from the future

Future Trunks arrives with medicine for Goku and news of Androids that will destroy the heroes. His sword, concise fighting style and immediate Super Saiyan reveal make him look fully prepared; the ruined future behind him explains why preparation never feels sufficient.

Meeting his parents

Trunks knows Bulma as his capable guide but never knew Vegeta in his own timeline. Watching Vegeta choose pride over caution frustrates him, while training together gives both men a difficult route toward recognition.

Changing time without erasing it

Saving the main timeline does not automatically repair Trunks’s home. He returns stronger and more certain, then defeats the Androids and Cell there. Hope becomes meaningful because it equips him to act rather than granting a clean reset.

Young Trunks and fusion

The child raised in the peaceful main timeline is confident, competitive and less burdened. His friendship with Goten leads to the Fusion Dance and Gotenks, covered in the fusion guide.
