Dragon Ball races and peoples
Dragon Ball uses planets and peoples to widen its story, but individual characters regularly resist the traits others assign to their group.

Earthlings
Humans, anthropomorphic citizens and other Earth inhabitants share the early setting without much explanation. Martial artists such as Krillin and Tien show that training can reach extraordinary levels even as later alien threats exceed them.
Saiyans
A warrior people with tails and transformation potential, Saiyans worked within Frieza’s system of conquest before their planet’s destruction. Their survivors and mixed families are covered in the Saiyan guide.
Namekians
Namekians include a Dragon Clan associated with creation and a warrior type associated with defense, though individuals complicate a simple division. Their connection to the Dragon Balls makes cultural survival central to the Namek saga.
Created and magical beings
Dr. Gero’s androids include modified humans, fully artificial models and Cell, a biological construction. Majin Buu is magical rather than technological. These origins affect energy, aging and identity in different ways.
