Krillin remains brave because he understands danger. His fear gives his decisions weight rather than diminishing them.
Rivalry becomes friendship
Krillin meets Goku as a fellow student under Master Roshi. He is more socially experienced and initially tries to gain an edge, but shared training turns competition into the series’ longest friendship.
A human scale for expanding danger
As Saiyans, androids and magical beings raise the level of force, Krillin survives through awareness and technique. He scouts Namek, protects Gohan and makes decisions with incomplete information rather than waiting to become the strongest person present.
Techniques with purpose
The Destructo Disc concentrates cutting power and can threaten opponents far stronger than its user. Solar Flare creates an opening rather than damage. These abilities show why the attack system is more interesting than a single strength ladder.
Android 18 and an ethical choice
Krillin refuses to destroy Android 18 when given the opportunity. Attraction is part of the decision, but so is his recognition that she is a person rather than merely Cell’s missing component. Their later family gives the choice lasting consequence.
